My name’s Stefy. I’m a mother of 3 and a practicing Christian since my late teens to young adult days.

Long ago a friend of my father’s gave me a Bible as a gift. I was only a child and religion wasn’t something that interested me at the time. Sure, I went along with the family to Church each Sunday and unlike my brother I didn’t complain much. Or so I’d like to believe. :-).

Anyway, this Bible stayed in my drawer for a while and once I was old enough to be able to read it, I did. And I read it cover to cover. I have to say that it took a lot of perseverance and I had to skim over many passages that didn’t make sense, but I did read it. The Old Testament was a bit tough to follow at times and what interested me the most at the time was the story of Jesus as told by the 4 evangelists in the New Testament. Just going to Church meant that I was very familiar with Jesus’s story but reading the Gospels was actually very interesting.

After getting married and having kids, I started looking at the Bible and its words through a different set of lenses. Now I was looking for meaning, for guidance in life and help answering those difficult questions that we all face while raising a family. What occurred to me was it wasn’t always easy to extract the wisdom that lies in the words in the Bible. And so I started this quest to take a part of the Bible and make it available online with commentary, with explanations and especially with advice on how to use the Bible in your daily life.

This website dedicated to The Gospel According to Saint Mark is one of the various sites that I am building on the Bible.

So I really hope you like my site and can find the same value that I have discovered from the holy book over all these years.
