32 That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed.
33 The whole town gathered at the door,
34 and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.

Verse 32: “That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed.”
After sunset, the Sabbath ended. People were free to travel and carry burdens. They brought their sick and demon-possessed to Jesus. This shows their faith in His healing power. It also highlights the urgency and desperation of the people.
Verse 33: “The whole town gathered at the door.”
The entire town came to see Jesus. This indicates the widespread recognition of His authority and power. It also shows the communal nature of the society. Everyone wanted to witness the miracles and perhaps receive healing.
Verse 34: “And Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.”
Jesus healed many people with different illnesses. This demonstrates His compassion and divine power. He also cast out many demons. However, He silenced the demons. They knew His true identity. Jesus did not want His identity revealed prematurely. This was part of His divine plan.
